Ragi Moringa Soup

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp Baby Cereal Mix (sprouted ragi, like Hungry Bums)
  • 1 cup Water (adjust as needed)
  • ½ tsp Butter
  • ¼ tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • 1 small pinch Cinnamon Powder
  • ¼ tsp Jeera (Cumin) Powder
  • 2 tbsp Steamed Drumstick Pulp (scraped from cooked drumsticks)
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Steamed Beans
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Steamed Carrots
  • 1 tbsp Steamed Green Peas
  • ½ tsp Moringa Powder
  • A small pinch Salt (optional)
  • ½ tsp Lemon Juice

Method:

Start by mixing the sprouted ragi baby cereal with water in a bowl to form a smooth slurry. In a blender, combine butter, pepper, cinnamon, and jeera (cumin) and grind them into a fine paste. Steam the drumsticks, beans, carrots, and green peas until soft, then mash them into a smooth consistency. In a pan, add the mashed vegetables along with the prepared ragi slurry and pour in some additional water. Stir in the blended spice mix and let everything cook together for a few minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Finally, add a spoonful of moringa powder and a pinch of salt, stirring well to incorporate. Once done, serve the soup warm with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice for an extra burst of flavor. This wholesome and nutrient-dense soup is perfect for your little one’s growing needs!
